Static templates to editable templates for AEM Cloud Service

Because /apps is immutable at runtime, template changes need a code deployment. Editable templates and policies under /conf let authors manage layouts and are the model Adobe builds new features on.

What to use instead

Editable templates and content policies under /conf, created with the Modernization Tools template and policy converters.

How to fix it

1. Convert static templates and design configurations (/etc/designs) with the Modernization Tools.
2. Rewrite existing pages to point at the new templates.
3. Lock structure components and set policies to match the old design dialog values.
