Custom Oak index definitions on AEM as a Cloud Service

Index definitions are deployed through Cloud Manager and versioned by name. The Index Converter only transforms Lucene-type custom definitions under /apps or /oak:index; property indexes and ordered indexes need manual work.

What to use instead

Lucene index definitions in ui.apps named with the -custom-<n> suffix, increased on every change.

How to fix it

1. Export current custom and modified indexes from 6.5.
2. Run the Index Converter for Lucene indexes; rewrite deprecated ordered property indexes (DOPI).
3. Test queries with the explain query tool and check for traversal warnings.
